The Iraqi civilization began five thousand years before Christ. The Iraqi civilization had a big improvement in different types of education, and different types of sciences. It was the capital city of education in the world, and homeland for different cultures, because it affiliates different cultures, and different types of religions like Islam, Christianity, Jewess, and other different religions. Until the last few years the Iraq was one of the most Arab courtiers that had higher education including different types of sciences like the mathematics, medical science, and a lot of others types of science. Now the Iraq country is not the same that it was before because the many wars that happened from 1980 until 2003. Those wars affected the Iraqi civilization and it started to disappear, because in last thirty years the Iraqi people didn't have any chance to improve themselves in education, everybody were busy about his family and how to make them safe from the war, so the Iraqi people didn't have any chance to enjoy life with no wars. Because it has this big mix of religion groups, it makes Iraq very difficult to control. During the history of Iraq nobody could control this country. Only two leaders who were able to controlled it. The first one is AL Hagag, and the second one is Saddam Hussein. Now the new government in Iraq couldn't control any city in Iraq with a huge number of an international soldier. The different groups in Iraq are wants to be the leader of the country, and some scientists who know in the Iraqi history anticipate that Iraq will be divided to many countries. In the last twenty six years the Iraqi people had a very hard time with wars, from 1980 until 2003, Iraq had three wars, the war with Iran, the Gulf war, and the war with the United States of America, and those wars affected the security in the world especially in the Middle East.

Iraq and Iran two huge countries they were in a big war which called the Iran-Iraq War. Also it called the First Gulf War, or Saddam's Qadisiyyah war which is the favorite name for Saddam. The Iraq and Iran war lasted from September 1980 to August 1988. Which consider the longest war in the 20th century. When Saddam became the president of Iraq he decided to attack Iran, because he believes that Iran toke a part from Iraq which called Shatt al-Arab. This Part belongs to Iraq long time ago, but when Saddam was the vice president he signed agreement with Iran says that this part belong to Iran when the Shah was the president in that time in 1975. When the government changed in Iran Saddam decided to change everything about that agreement. In 1981, both Iran and Iraq attacked oil tankers and merchant ships.. After that Iran attacked a Kuwaiti tanker near Bahrain on May 13, 1984, and a Saudi tanker in Saudi waters on May 16. Those things made Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to ask for help from the United States of America which was ready to help them in that time especially when the government in Iran had been changed and then attack the American embassy In Tehran which is the capital city of Iran. The war was disastrous for both countries, and the Iraqi economy became very week which was one of the reasons to start the second gulf war in 1990, because he was loaned US$14 billion by Kuwait.
This war had coasted a huge amount of money and lives. Iraq bought a lot of weapons from different countries which affected the Iraq economy. More than one million killed in this war, and it cost Iran $350 billion and for sure a huge amount if money cost the Iraqi budget.
Iraq and Kuwaiti had a very good relation ship with each other especially when Saddam fitted Iran, because Iran affected the security of the Gulf region. But what happened in 1990 ends the white page between the both nations and they started anew hump when Saddam attacked Kuwait. Saddam government started this war because the alternative fuels which is oil. The Iraqi government asked the Kuwaiti government to pay more than 10 billion duller for the oil that they toke from the long border with Iraq, and the Kuwaiti government didn't accept that which made Saddam very series to start the war. Other thing made Saddam thinking of the war that he thought Kuwait belong to Iraq in the Old days, but I became divided, so he wanted to return that area to become a part from Iraq. By spring 1990 Saddam Attacked Kuwait with more than 430,000 IRAQI SOLDIERS were in Kuwait. And after that he attacked on city in Saudi Arabia that called Al – Khafgi which has a border with Kuwait. In the time the world realized that this situation is very series especially that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are the important countries that export oil. The Saudi government decided to ask the American government a help to regain that area and Kuwait also. The American government and more than 35 countries came to the Gulf for that war which cost the Saudi and the Kuwaiti government a huge amount of money to pay to those countries.
Since the son Bush became the president of the United State of America in 2000, he was preparing for a personal war with Sadam Hussain the president of Iraq. He was waiting for a big chance like what happened in Washington D.C. and New York city in 2001 9/11 was a very good chance for president Bush to have an excuse to start talking about the war with Iraq, and for sure to purport the world that Sadam's government had a relation ship with al- Qada in that time. In that time Bush made his best to purport the world that Sadam had nuclear bomb, hydrogen bomb, and other banned weapons. So the president Bush used the relation ship with Al-Qada and the banned weapons to start the war against Iraq in 2003. In that time Bush said that the world will be safer than he is after Sadam's government. A lot of scientists said that the war against Iraq was a wrong decision in the wrong place in the wrong time. Bush said the world will be safer after they revolutionize Sadam government and that didn't happen. Everybody knows that Sadam is a criminal, but he is not the only criminal. There are many around the world, but Bush didn’t do any thing to them as what he did with Sadam. And other scientist said there was no reason for this huge amount of soldiers in Iraq, because this number should be in Afghanistan to catch Osama bin Laden who killed a lot of Americans. The American people didn’t get any advantage from this war except losing a lot of money. And a lot of American and Iraqi people died there. "The world will be better after Sadam government" This is what Bush was always saying before he started the Iraqi war. It's not true, because Iraq became a safe place for terrorism, and it's very easy to buy any weapon very cheaply. The Bush government didn’t plan very well for what they would do after Sadam. The biggest problem that they did in Iraq was fire all the Iraqi army, because those people didn’t find any thing to do except selling weapons to the toreros. This thing has affected the security in Saudi Arabia, because we have a big border with Iraq, and the advantage was a lot of bombs in Saudi Arabia. We didn’t have this situation before the Iraqi war. It was very difficult to have weapons in Saudi Arabia, but it's easy now.
Every day, hour, and every minute the Bush government spends a lot of money in Iraq for nothing. According to the National Priorities Project website, in 06/17/2007 "the war in Iraq has cost $435,586,751,707." This huge amount should go for health care, housing, education, kids' health. I think this amount can make a big difference if the Bush government spends it to solve a lot of problems like unemployment, or to support the homeless, or the study of AIDS. According to the National Priorities Project website in 06/17/2007 if we used this money "we could have fully funded world-wide AIDS programs for 27 years, or we could have built 2,470,718 additional housing units." This amount is only in four years, so imagine how much it would be four years from now? The most important point from that is we didn't get any advantage from this amount that we spent in Iraq except more unemployment, and more shortfalls in the American budget. Now Bush is asking the congress to give him the highest amount of money in the American history to support the war in Iraq.
I think those wars were personal war and all the countries didn't get any advantage from them. The most important reason in those wars is power, oil, and a personal war. The oil price should be cheap after Saddam but it's not. The world security should be better than it was but it's not. All those wars happened when Saddam was the president of Iraq. There is no advantage from those wars. It cost a lot of money and lives. All of those wars affected the economy in the Gulf region and also the security. From 1980 until now the only people who are paying the war bill are the Iraqi people. Their country wiped out. A famous museum has been stolen from that time until now. The first and the second war were Saddam's mistake, but the last war was Bush personal war.
I will read some books about the cost of Iraq war with United States of America and for interviews with the people who have experience about that topic and see their opinion about the war and the cost of it and I will ask them if the war had to American people any benefits or not and what are these benefits. Even though, I will try to see how much money spent in that war and for what and why not they spend that money in other things.
People feel sad about that war and what had happened in that war from spending money and killing people. What I am going to write about in this research that I am going to explain to that people why that money had spent in that war. Even though about how many person had killed in that war and how much it cost to take them from Iraq to United States. And some people don’t know anything about that war and the cost of that war. Actually I want the readers to know that is spending for nothing and I said that because I think there are no benefits from that war except the government to take the oil.
Over the next two weeks I will continue seeking out secondary sources, I will focus on some books that can help me a lot for my research which talk about Iraq war especially about the cost of the war. Even though, I will read articles about the Iraq war and how much they spent in Iraq war. So far I have read two books which helped me a lot to get information about the Iraq war in general but what I need to search in the library about how much the war coasted and why they spent that money in that war. From my interviews with some families who are their sons in the military and they were sad about what had happened, because they miss their sons and some of them had killed in that war. I need to talk to them again to get more information and ask them again about them opinions.
